When we think of grandeur, the Hyatt always comes to mind. A hotel brand synonymous across the world for elevated style, luxury and quality; the Hyatt is one of our favourite places to stay when travelling.
On a recent trip to Melbourne for the launch of Hermes Chadstone, we stayed at the Grand Hyatt conveniently located in the city centre within the high fashion and fine dining precinct. For this stay we decided to #GoGrand and indulge in the coveted Diplomatic Suite.
The Diplomatic Suite is a premium offering, showcasing the very best of the Grand Hyatt Melbourne experience. Check-in begins sky high on the 31st floor Club Lounge, a space boasting 180 degree views of the city. Once you enter the Suite, the expansive views continue with almost every room featuring large windows overlooking the Yarra River or Melbourne CBD. The Diplomatic Suite boasts opulent proportions with defined spaces for dining, living and study as well as a grand master quarters.
In the master bathroom, a sunken spa tub was waiting with candles and luxurious June Jacobs amenities. We washed away our troubles and entered full relaxation mode while admiring the Yarra River view from the tub. The rest of the evening was spent rightly in a bathrobe and slippers; before retiring to bed to savour the Egyptian linen.
In the morning, we were up bright and early to catch sunrise over breakfast. A healthy quinoa bowl and freshly squeezed orange juice were the perfect kick-start to our big day ahead. We highly recommend making the most of the 24 hour room service and eating every meal in the comfort of your robe. Once fuelled, we made a quick trip to the 24 hour City Club Health & Fitness centre for a workout and dip in the pool. Afterwards, we stopped by the Suite to freshen up, enjoy one more Nespresso coffee and savour our last moments in luxury before heading out for the day.
If you’re looking for a lavish stay in the heart of Melbourne, the Grand Hyatt is the obvious choice. Our stay was nothing short of five stars and we’re now counting down the days until we can again #GoGrand at the Hyatt.
