There are different suits for different occasions and a summer suit is one of them. We wanted to showcase the classic beige suit but with a little twist by adding patterns to really give that unique look.
There are different suits for different occasions and a summer suit is one of them. We wanted to showcase the classic beige suit but with a little twist by adding patterns to really give that unique look.
We’re excited to showcase our collaboration with Ubermen‘s SS15 collection with the touch of The Simple Gentleman’s styling for the new modern gentleman.
I would like to introduce you Frank Wright, a company that has been established in London since 1885.
Frank Wright draws on influences from their rich heritage and evolved in creating collections of trending styles for the new modern gentleman.
From their recent collection I have chosen the new Barts Tan Suede Boat Shoes. When I received the package I was excited to see the shoes in the flesh (sneak peeks on snapchat). When I started opening the box a gush of wind & a bright light shone out from the shoes, just like opening a hidden treasure box to discovering gold. Maybe it was just me but I sworn I heard the sound of harmony when I picked up these boat shoes. The shoe itself is very sturdy and the quality of the suede is on point. I didn’t find any loose threads or malfunctions, which is always good sign. I have always wanted a tan pair of boat shoes and Frank Wright have delivered the goods.
I would recommend Frank Wright for any gentleman looking to up his shoe game. Scroll down to see more pics & how I styled these boat shoes.

Florals, majority of men will stay away from any floral print because it’s associated with being feminine. What if I said wearing florals will make you more masculine?
When you think floral prints, the first thing that pops into your head is female attire, roses and your grandmothers old curtains. It’s all true however people now associate florals with mens attire and it’s becoming a staple in the wardrobe. I understand how people wouldn’t want to wear certain patterns, because even for me, some patterns are way too much for my complexion & style. This is why you simplify to suit your needs.
When you wear florals in the right manner with confidence and charisma the floral print will compliment your personality and style. It has been a big trend for the last few years with more men stepping out of there comfort zone and wearing orchid, tulip, peonies and rose prints.
Alright lets get alittle bit deeper.
Everyone on this earth both has a masculine and feminine side (polarity). The masculine side comes from a place of strength. Strength is at the top end of the scale, whereas weakness is at the bottom end. In contrast, the feminine side comes from a place of goodness. You develop the strength of the masculine side by having a deep belief in the value of your own life, and you develop the goodness of the feminine side by having a deep belief in the value of the life of others.
So what this means is if you have good values in your own life this will relate to your confidence and in effect not caring what other people think. And when you don’t care what people think, you are your own man. So the question still stands are you man enough to wear florals?
I have been following Harrison Blake Apparel (@wearlapelpins) for a while now on instagram and have always loved there unique floral ties. Below I have worn all floral accessories with my check blue blazer, it’s not too overpowering and I loved the compliments I received when I was having my morning coffee.

Last week I had the opportunity to sit down and have a 10 minute interview with the amazing Peta (@thewordbird_) from Fashion Society.
So just a quick background on Fashion Society, they are a leading Australian lifestyle and fashion industry portal for designers, retailers, local labels and like-minded fashion enthusiasts. They know the in’s and out’s on the fashion industry and events across Australia. To find out more about the interview click the link below.
With the Ignition off I step outside of my car, I lock the doors *BEEP* then start walking down the declining driveway from car park. I turn left and start walking on this cobblestone street here in the big city. While walking down I notice office workers rushing with a suit case and coffee in hand lining up to get into their high rise buildings. The funny thing is everyone looked the same with a black suit, white shirt and simple tie.
Don’t take me wrong it’s a classic look but honestly if you’re somebody you want to look like one. Lucky for me I work in the creative industries so being bright & colour is part of the persona. Here’s a mid week office attire look wearing a blue textured weave suit. I have complemented the suit with a blue slim shirt with a white collar and a James Harper knit tie (Love the texture & pattern of this tie). I had the pants hem taken up so my socks would show and if you’re wearing funky socks, it changes the whole outfit!
Let me know what you think of this look and as always enjoy.

There’s something about wearing a three piece suit that makes you more confident & more sophisticated. It’s the layering of clothing that brings a new dynamic to a suit as well, it brings out a strong posture. I have always loved a three piece suit and recommend every gentleman to have one. Why? It’s variety. You can mix and match the jacket, pants and vest with other suits or jackets, to show your own personality and style. I will be mixing and matching this suit in upcoming looks.
This look is perfect for a business lunch meeting with new clients to wine and dine or perhaps you feel like dressing up and you visit your favourite french restaurant ordering a fresh croissants and espresso coffee while enjoying the outdoor sunshine & GQ magazine.
I have matched this suit with a James Harper tie (Micro Geo Tie). The tie is a silk cotton blend and the quality is on point, from the texture to the thickness of the tie. They have a large range of ties and accessories and would highly recommend James Harper from my personal experience.
Let me know what you think of three piece suits below. Like them or hate them?

All aboard!! The captain screams out while stepping out of his cabin and stroking his handlebar moustache. We all hurry, running down the dockside with 2 bags on each shoulder, the closer and closer we get to the boat we realised it wasn’t just any boat… we all stopped, looked up with our mouths wide open & excitement in our eyes. Its glorious, its a yacht, its a Maritimo.
While we boarded this luxury yacht there was champagne on arrival, french music playing in the background and you can feel the suns rays warming up your body. The next moment we were moving passing million dollar mansions and the countless super yachts parked by each dock. We reach the open waters and what a sight that was, the sun glistening & reflecting off the deep blue water. Picture perfect.
You might be asking what were you doing there? Good question. We’re here for business and we mean business. 3 photographers, videographer, stylist, hair & makeup, assistants and of course two gorgeous models. We shot at one of the best destinations in Queensland, Stradbroke island with blue waters & untouched beaches. We had a great day shooting some amazing looks (great job Bonnie), enjoying the beach and had a quick dip (it’s winter here in Brisbane). Below are a few snaps from the shoot, enjoy.
